  • An annual exhibition of final thesis projects created by graduating studio art majors, the Senior Art Show is the culmination of the studio art major at Scripps. Wilson Photograph and Print Study Room. Woodcut prints from a collection spanning more than 250 years of Japanese history and representing artists such as Chikanobu, Yoshitoshi, Hokusai, and Hiroshige will be available to view in the Japanese Print Room.

  • DIRECTIONS: From the 210 freeway, take the Towne Avenue exit and head north on Towne Avenue. When you reach the light for West Baseline Road (only a few hundred yards from the freeway exit), turn left (west). The campus/museum entrance will be on the right side (north side), a few hundred yards past the Towne/Baseline intersection. Drive to the kiosk to check in. **DO NOT** enter campus via Webb Canyon Road. Please enter the main entrance to campus on Baseline Road.

  • Visit the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery to view the 2024 Senior Art Show, curated by this year’s graduating art majors, and get a behind-the-scenes look at the College’s collections of photographs and Japanese prints. Selections from the thousands of nineteenth- and twentieth-century photographs held by the College—which include works by Julia Margaret Cameron, Edward Weston, Marion Post Wolcott, Ansel Adams, Diane Arbus, Graciela Iturbide, and many more—will be on display in the Jane Hurley Wilson and Michael G. Wilson Photograph and Print Study Room. Woodcut prints from a collection spanning more than 250 years of Japanese history and representing artists such as Chikanobu, Yoshitoshi, Hokusai, and Hiroshige will be available to view in the Japanese Print Room.

  • The Joint Music Program of Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges presents The Claremont Concert Orchestra performing symphonic works by Bottesini, Mozart, and Prokofiev. The program includes a performance by one of the 2023 Concerto Competition winners, bassist Ryan Butler (Harvey Mudd ’24) for the Bottesini Double Bass Concerto No. 2, plus Mozart’s “Paris” Symphony No. 31, and Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf.
