Scripps Presents: Williamson Gallery Opening of Decompositions: Photography by Nancy Macko
From October 5, 2024, to January 12, 2024, the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery will present Decompositions: Photography by Nancy Macko, a new body of work by the acclaimed ecofeminist artist and Scripps College professor of art. In more than 40 photographs of her kitchen compost bin, Macko recalls artistic traditions from the Renaissance to Surrealism and meditates on decay as a new beginning.
