The First-Year Experience
Scripps 360° is a dynamic initiative that prioritizes the transition and growth experienced during the first several weeks of college. Following New Student Orientation, students, along with their peer mentor, will navigate the college transition through intentional programs.
Scripps 360° will highlight available resources and profile the various offices within the College, creating a thoughtful balance between information delivery and experiential opportunities for growth during the first weeks, first semester and first year at Scripps College.
Program Highlights
Scripps 360 Events
New students are invited to attend various events during the first 6 weeks of the academic year. Each event is intended to expose students to a new aspect of being a Scripps Students. Make sure to attend and check in at events to be eligible to win prizes!
Club Fairs
There is an abundance of engagement opportunities through clubs and organizations at Scripps and in the Consortium. Students will have the opportunity to mix and mingle with the groups during the CLORG fair at Scripps and the 5C Club fair hosted at CMC.
Peer-to-Peer Conversations
Peer-to-Peer Panel conversations aim to create open dialogue that demystifies what it means to experience life on campus. First-years will have the opportunity to engage in open discussions with their mentor to understand how to navigate a robust and dynamic student experience. From balancing academic expectations, locating the best place to study, or traditions, the student mentors will be able to answer any questions you may have.
