Scripps College Ranked #26 in Nation by U.S. News & World Report

Scripps College was ranked #26 out of 233 Best Liberal Arts Colleges, according to U.S. News & World Report‘s Best Colleges 2018 list. Scripps shares the #26 spot with five other institutions: Barnard, Kenyon, Macalester, and Oberlin Colleges and the U.S. Air Force Academy. Among high school counselors, Scripps ranks #21 out of 215 for best national liberal arts college; counselors were asked to rate schools based on their professional insight in addition to their knowledge of each college’s academic record, curriculum, faculty, programs, and graduates. Scripps was also ranked #61 of 108 in the Best Value Schools category and garnered high marks on the Campus Ethnic Diversity Index as well as the Least Debt, Class of 2016 list.

The U.S. News and World Report ranking system uses statistical quantitative and qualitative measures that education experts have proposed as reliable indicators of academic quality. To calculate their rankings, U.S. News gathers data from each college on up to 15 indicators of academic excellence.
