Hi everyone! My name is Abby and I’m a senior from Mountain View, California. I’m double majoring in Spanish at Scripps and Public Policy at Claremont McKenna. After just a few weeks at Scripps my freshman year, I knew that it was the perfect place for me. As someone who is very indecisive and loves to learn, I’m appreciative of the ability to take classes across several disciplines- anything from Latin American culture to natural resource policy to microeconomics. On campus, I work as the Sustainability Assistant for the Office of Sustainability and lead a team of fellow plant-lovers as a Consultant for Claremont Sustainability Consulting. I’m also a dancer, a barista at the Motley, and an avid participant in intramural sports (inner-tube waterpolo in the Fall and volleyball in the Spring!). What I love most about going to school here is how friendly and collaborative every space on campus is. In my free time, you can find me reading a book by the pool, having a picnic with friends on one of the many Scripps lawns, or taking a stroll to the village for the Sunday farmer’s market. Over the past few years, Scripps has become the place that I call home and I hope it can become yours too! Feel free to send any questions my way via my email: [email protected].
