Hello! My name is CJ and I am a second year at Scripps! I’m originally from New Jersey, but absolutely love California (except for the public transportation!) and couldn’t imagine being anywhere else for college! I am a Neuroscience and Dance dual major and hoping to explore the connection between movement and the brain as I continue my studies. I was able to conduct research this past summer in a computational neuroscience lab where I applied a dance movement analysis system to on-screen motion from a video game! I feel very grateful I had the opportunity to combine my two interests so early on in my college career! I am hoping to continue and expand this research over the next few years and combine it with my class knowledge as I take more advanced courses. My research experience really speaks to the interdisciplinary education offered at Scripps and reminds me why I chose to attend this school. I feel like I have the ability to explore my own passions and discover new ones I had never even thought of. I love the community at Scripps and have met some of the most passionate and kind professors and students here!
