Hi everyone! My name is Sydney Jackson and I’m a senior at Scripps from the Washington, DC-metropolitan area (the DMV). I’m majoring in Organismal Biology on the pre-veterinary track. Apart from working in the Admissions Office, I am currently one of leaders of the 5C Pre-Vet Club. I really love how in this role, I get to connect other pre-vet students with resources and just bond over our love of animals. I am also a mentor with the Office of Black Student Affairs (OBSA), which is also 5C. On campus, I like to study by the pool at the Tiernan Field House, stop by the Motley Coffeehouse or the Pit Stop to grab a coffee, and hang out with my friends. Ever since joining the Scripps community, I have noticed that I have become a much more outspoken, driven, and community-oriented individual. The entire Scripps community feels like one big family that I can lean on in hard times as celebrate with when I achieve a goal.
