Hello everyone! I’m Sam, a first-year from Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am currently undecided on my major but am currently interested in Music, Psychology, and Pre-health. Currently, besides my classes I am involved in voice lessons, working as an admissions ambassador, and hope to join a couple of clubs as well. In my free time, I will probably be listening to music, spending time studying, or just hanging out with friends, baking, and spending time with my dog.
The college application process can be confusing and scary on its own but especially now all the feelings around the college are amplified. I went into the whole college process not knowing what I was looking for except that I wanted a strong supportive community, a place that pushes students to be their best and supports them in their personal journeys in getting there. Originally I wasn’t looking for a women’s college but Scripps started to stand out because it had all the factors I was looking for. Even though we are remote this semester, I can already feel the strength of the community and this semester has made me even more excited to continue my journey at Scripps.
The best piece of advice I can give to prospective students right now is, look into schools that interest you, apply to the ones that you are excited about even if they are all different.
As I continue my experience at Scripps I am happy to share with you all! Stay tuned for more blog posts from me and the other admissions ambassadors as well as our Instagram office hours!
