Dear Scripps Community,
The mission of the Sustained Dialogue Campus Network, an initiative of the Sustained Dialogue Institute, is to develop everyday leaders who engage differences as strengths to improve campuses, workplaces, and communities.
Did you know that nearly 50 Scripps students participated in the Sustained Dialogue Campus Network’s Inclusivity Leadership Training Workshops on campus? And over 30 Scripps students have been directly engaged in sustained dialogue about issues important to students?
Do you want to know the answers to the following questions?
- Why did Scripps join the Sustained Dialogue Network?
- What are the learning outcomes for those who participate in Sustained Dialogue?
- Why is Sustained Dialogue important on our campus?
- How does Scripps benefit from Sustained Dialogue?
- Who are the Moderators (Mods)?
We invite you to join us on Monday, May 11 at 12:00 p.m. in the Hampton Living Room for an informational meeting. During this meeting, our four inaugural moderators – Sara Bryk, Shanisha Coram, Rachel Berner-Hays, and Ella Shahn – will share their experiences with creating learning spaces through sustained dialogue on our campus; and report on recommendations for strengthening our campus climate of inclusion.
Again, we invite you to join us! Bring your lunch; dessert will be provided.
