Angela Niederberger
Event and Office Assistant
Angela Niederberger is a junior at Scripps College majoring in International Relations. She is especially interested in women in leadership, security studies, and Francophone studies. She has enjoyed research pertaining to these interests and likes to work within these areas at the EU Center by connecting with speakers, writers, and people in the field. Angela’s favorite pastimes are reading, running, hot yoga, camping, acting, and playing various word games (or sudoku).
Sasha Shunko
Event and Office Assistant
Sasha Shunko is a third-year student at Claremont McKenna College studying economics and international relations. She is particularly interested in the Eastern European region and has conducted relevant research in antisemitism in that region as well as the influences of Russian state propaganda. Now, she has geared more towards sustainability and climate change policy. Aside from academics, on a free Sunday she can be often found at the climbing gym, reading, or out on a walk with friends or her dogs.
Lourenço Xavier
Event and Office Assistant
Lourenço Xavier is a freshman at Pitzer College from Portugal double majoring in Mathematical Economics and Environmental Policy. He has a deep passion for sustainable development, social geography and European Affairs. Lourenço joined the EU Center with hopes of becoming more connected to home and also becoming a more active EU citizen by promoting the union’s initiatives. After graduating from Pitzer, Lourenço wishes to pursue his graduate degree to one day hopefully work for the European Parliament. He enjoys gardening, going to the gym, bodyboarding and getting lost in nature.
