Artist Irene Chan will talk about how her subject matter evolved from working with the ephemeral and the environment in Taoist philosophy to her personal experience of living as an Asian American. Her media are works on or of paper, printmaking, installation art, and book arts. In her one-person storytelling performances, Chan’s artist books start as traditional book forms and then transform into wearables and installation art. This is free and open to the public.
This program is presented by Fredric W. Goudy Lecture.
