As an Organismal Biology and Ecology major Maya Higgins, Scripps ’10, decided to dive headfirst and embark on a full year of off-campus study. During her junior year, Maya studied in Kenya, London, and Dominical, Costa Rica. These three experiences completely transformed Maya’s world outlook and perspective on the possibilities associated with a career in science.
