Students and activists are using Title IX to fight gender-based violence and create paths for justice and healing within a civil rights framework, beyond a criminal legal system that often harms (rather than works for) survivors. This workshop will explore the transformative nature of Title IX activism within anti-violence and reproductive justice movements — and how Title IX rights are under threat. As a group, we’ll explore how and why a civil rights approach to ending violence is necessary.
