This special interdisciplinary Humanities event consists of David Lloyd explaining his path as a distinguished post-modern Irish cultural studies academic who continues to write poetry, while functioning as a scholar, teacher, and activist. He will then recite some of his current poetry as well as poems from “Change of State” and then the song cycle “Change of State” will be performed. The performance will be followed by a question and answer session for him and the composer, Hao Huang.
