Professor Vennemann published the following: · A German translation of Franco Berardi’s study The Soul at Work (Berlin: Matthes und Seitz, 2020), February 2020; · A German translation of Donald Richie’s Tractate on Japanese Aesthetics (Berlin: Matthes & Seitz, 2020), March 2020. This book includes his afterword, “Neither Audible nor Visible: Donald Richie and Japanese Aesthtics”; · An essay “Labor and Self in an Ocean of Time–Heike Geissler’s Seasonal Associate” (in German) in the journal Merkur (February 2020), No. 849. Professor Vennemann was invited to present his essay, “Neither Audible nor Visible: Donald Richie and Japanese Aesthtics,” at the East-Asia Society in Tokyo, Japan in April 2020, but due to Corona, the invitation has been deferred to spring 2021. He was invited to serve as a Visiting Fellow at the University of Tokyo during April and May 2020, but this visit was also deferred to 2021. |
