Professor Cindy Forster has the following to contribute:
Pro Derechos Humanos Bolivia (PRODEHBOL) is one of a number of human rights groups in Latin America and the Caribbean that challenges the North Atlantic monopoly over human rights discourse. PRODEHBOL requested an exchange between university students who were victims of the 2019 coup d’etat In Bolivia (hundreds of people were tortured and about 1,000 detained for protesting the unconstitutional seizure of the government), and U.S. university students. PRODEHBOL and Professor Forster were able to hold that conversation via zoom on January 12th. Professor Forster attended in Bolivia in the office of the organization.
