Professor Sarita Zaleha was awarded a three month short-term Fellowship for 2024-25 from The Huntington for her new artist book project “In the Arroyo Seco.” With access to The Huntington’s collections, “In the Arroyo Seco” will excavate the layered histories and contemporary issues of the Arroyo Seco in Los Angeles, increasing awareness, knowledge, and appreciation of this place—as it is now, and what it can be in the future.
