M. Sam Cronk is currently the Digital Curator at the Ella Strong Denison Library at Scripps College. Prior to this, he was the University of Michigan’s team manager for CHICO, which debuted the first online sites about the Harlem Renaissance, music in North America, traditional Inuit culture, Egyptian mummies and life in Michigan cities, in cooperation with communities from Alaska to Arizona (and most points in between). He is a Curator and Ethnomusicologist, lecturer in visual anthropology, American studies, media studies, and telecommunications. His ongoing research is focused on the constructions of race, gender and power in all forms of contemporary media.
