Leadership Development Award
The Leadership Development Award is intended to support student participation in non-academic* programs, conferences, or seminars that foster leadership learning. Eligible opportunities will clearly align with the mission of the Laspa Center, distinguish themselves according to the Center’s values of integrity, service, creativity, and inclusion, and represent an opportunity for growth in one or more of the Laspa Center’s six core leadership competencies: Strategic Thinking, Mindfulness, Organizational Dynamics, Social Skills, Effective Management, and Empathy.
* Visit the Associate Dean of Faculty’s Fellowships and Scholarships page for information about support for academic-related conferences and programs.
Each Leadership Development Award recipient can receive up to $500 in funding to support expenses related to the cost of participation in the qualifying program, conference or seminar. The amount allocated to each student will depend on the budget proposal.
All applications are considered on a rolling basis and must be submitted one month prior to the close of the academic semester.
