Assistant Professor of Biology Sarah Budischak co-authored a study published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B that examines why parasitic worms survive longer in some hosts’ intestines than in those of others. Budischak worked with researchers at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, and Princeton University. As told to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, this ongoing research may “help inform the treatment of parasitic infections.”
