Dear Students,
As folks prepare to leave for Thanksgiving Break, please be mindful when traveling. As COVID-19 restrictions have lessen, please note that we are not out of the woods yet. We strongly encourage taking precautions while traveling such as wearing a mask and washing your hands often. As mentioned in earlier communications, all students will be expected to participate in mandatory testing the week after Thanksgiving (Nov. 28 – Dec. 2) unless they are within 90 days of a previous infection. For testing, we will maintain the class schedule listed below:
- Monday: First-years test
- Tuesdays: Sophomores test
- Wednesday: Juniors Test
- Thursdays: Seniors and Post-Bacs Test
- Friday: Anyone who missed a test
The COVID testing sites, including vending machines, will be closed beginning on Thursday, November 24, with the last sample collection being picked up at 5pm on Wednesday, November 23. COVID testing will resume on Monday, November 28.
All students are expected to test once the week of November 28th. It must be done on campus (outside test and self-administered rapid test do not count towards your compliance). If you are unsure about testing and or have concerns, please reach out to Shawnice Ross for guidance. Students who fail test without appropriate notice, are subjected to the administrative conduct process.
Lastly, if you get sick with COVID-19 during Thanksgiving, please make sure you alert SHS Contact Tracers at [email protected] or call them at 909-607-9995 within 48 hours so that they can follow up with you and provide guidance to return to campus. If you have any questions or if you are having a hard time reaching them, please let Shawnice Ross know so she can follow up with them.
