The Study Abroad and Global Education (SAGE) program is Scripps’ resource for students interested in studying abroad. Most students study away for one semester (either fall or spring) during their junior year; in fact, more than half of the Scripps junior class participates in a SAGE experience every year. For this slideshow, we asked returning students to share some of what they learned from the experience of studying abroad; each slide features a student’s portrait overlaid onto a favorite photograph.
