Devika Chipalkatti ’22 spoke to WIRED about gender bias in the tech industry and the issues it’s raised for women pursuing careers in the field. Due to reports of harassment at big-name companies, as well as her own experiences with exclusion in high school computer science classes, Chipalkatti said she’s concerned about how her future employers might handle bias-related incidents: “Who would I tell? What if HR didn’t believe me?”
