Myriam J. A. Chancy’s novel Village Weavers was recently featured in the Miramichi Reader, praised for its depth and thematic complexity as “an ambitious exploration of class, colourism and the limits of childhood connection, familial obligation and friendship.” This intricate narrative weaves together personal and societal issues, offering readers a profound reflection on the human condition.
In addition to her literary achievements, Chancy is a distinguished Guggenheim Fellow and is currently the Hartley Burr Alexander (HBA) Chair of the Humanities at Scripps College. Village Weavers, published by Tin House, made its debut in April 2024 and is available for purchase on the Tin House website.
