CBS KCAL News recently visited Scripps to highlight the College being named number one for best student experience in a 2024–25 survey by the Wall Street Journal. While on campus, journalist Rick Montanez connected with Sydney Watson ’25 for her perspective on Scripps’ special attributes.
“Scripps is really unique in that it’s a women’s college within this broader consortium—a group of really impressive schools full of opportunity,” says Watson, an economics major from Texas. “I’ve really benefited from being able to take classes at all of the schools and participate in clubs.”
Watson was instrumental in encouraging her fellow students to share their thoughts in the survey, which polled 50,000 students and recent alumni. Scripps took the top spot among 500 colleges and universities nationwide.
