Bruce Coats, professor of art history and the humanities, Suzanne Ely Muchnic ’62 and Paul D. Muchnic Endowed Professor, and director of the Clark Humanities Museum, will discuss The Tale of Genji at a virtual event hosted by the Huntington Library, LAist reported. The lecture, scheduled for April 22 at 4 p.m., will focus on the different artistic interpretations of the eleventh-century text, widely regarded as the world’s first novel.
