Martha Gonzalez, associate professor of Chicanx-Latinx Studies, has received a 2022 MacArthur Fellowship, per reports from the New York Times and the Washington Post. The fellowship, also known as a “genius grant,” awards $800,000 to fuel the future achievements of extraordinarily talented and creative individuals. Inside Higher Ed, NPR, the Los Angeles Times, and LAist also highlighted Gonzalez’s achievement.
