Myriam J.A. Chancy, Hartley Burr Alexander Chair in the Humanities, discussed her current reading list with the Orange County Register. “The collective works of James Baldwin are probably those I return to time and again,” Chancy says. “I also teach a seminar on his works every few years so that gives me the chance to reread them.” Chancy’s most recent novel, What Storm, What Thunder, was published in October 2021.
