The Women’s Institute for a Secure Retirement (WISER) honored Catherine Collinson ‘85, president of the nonprofit foundation Transamerica Institute and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, with a Hero Award at the organization’s 20th anniversary event in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 20, 2016. WISER is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and advocacy of improving long-term financial quality of life for women. Hero Awards recognize the work of individuals who empower women, open doors for women, and improve their lives and the lives of their families through their respective professional efforts; their singular focus is on the unique financial challenges women can face.
