Liz Lee ’02, chair of the Alumnae Leadership Council (ALC), discussed student debt’s disproportionate impact on women, particularly women of color, with MSNBC. Lee told the news outlet that she would support a student loan forgiveness program that accounts for graduates’ professions and economic backgrounds. “I think there’s probably a way in which we can make this work,” she says. “So that you don’t have people who are paying off their loans into their 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s or until they die, essentially.”
