Formerly the deputy director of audience engagement at the Los Angeles Times, Michelle Maltais ’94 was named the consumer editor for USA Today. The position is part of a newly formed team that will cover topics focused on retail, food, and personal technology. Beginning as a copyeditor at the Times in 1997, Maltais has covered topics ranging from business and technology to family. She was part of the team that received a Pulitzer Prize in 2016 in the “Breaking News” category for its coverage of the San Bernardino terrorist attacks coverage.
