Scripps College alumna Loralyn Cropper ’84 has been appointed as Northeast regional director of philanthropy of the Coast Guard Foundation, as announced in Boating Industry magazine. In her role, Cropper will work closely with Coast Guard units in the area to identify and fulfill education, morale, and family support needs for U.S. Coast Guard members. Cropper brings 25 years of corporate sales and marketing and nonprofit fundraising experience to her role at the foundation, according to the article. Previously, she held fundraising appointments at City College of New York, Riverdale Country School, and Scripps College. Cropper earned her bachelor’s degree from Scripps College and her master’s degree in marketing and international business from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business Administration.
