PASADENA, Calif. – This season marks the 23rd men’s and 15thwomen’s track and field titles for Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and the 13th year that both programs have achieved the feat in the same season.
CMS swept the Field Athlete of the Year awards with junior Cameron Van (CMC) winning the high jump (2.02m – 6-07.50), long jump (7.01m – 23-00.00) and triple jump (14.53m – 47-08.00) in the SCIAC Championships and junior Vaiva Palunas (SCR) repeated as AOY, setting the SCIAC record in the discus (47.35m – 155-04,) and winning the discus (47.28 – 155-01) and shot put (13.26m – 43-06) at the Championships.
