Join the Scripps College community this Friday, 11:30 am-3:00 pm, for the College’s 2nd annual Green Fair as we celebrate the sustainability efforts made this academic year and learn about opportunities to grow even greener.
Expect to see a variety of sustainable projects showcased by alumnae, students, faculty, staff, and our neighbors from the community. Have you ever thought about becoming a beekeeper? You might, after meeting Sue Talbot ’69 or Richard W. Hazlett, professor of environmental analysis at Pomona College, at the Fair. How about raising chickens for the freshest eggs on the block? Have you seen the bale of recycled material from Kimberly/Wilbur Hall? Come to the Fair and have all your questions answered.
The Sustainability Committee also wants to hear from you! Do you have ideas for sustainability at Scripps College? What do you think about the efforts made so far? Take a brief survey at the Fair and find out how you can get involved.
In support of this event, the Malott Commons dining hall will be closed. Bring a lunch, use your meal card, or purchase lunch on the lawn. Chairs, blankets, and tables will be provided. For more information, contact Director of Grounds Lola Trafecanty.
