On November 1 at 1:30 p.m. in the Hampton Room of the Malott Commons at Scripps College, the Scripps College Fine Arts Foundation (FAF) will host a lecture by artist, Leslie Enders Lee. The event is free and open to the public and tea will be served immediately following the lecture. For information, please call (909) 624-7765.
Leslie Enders Lee is an imaginative artist who works effectively in a variety of mediums. Her sculpture and works on paper evoke Sumerian cuneiform characters and the ancient role of the artist as “picture writer.” Leslie’s work will be featured as part of an exhibition at the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery at Scripps College on view from October 30 through December 19, 2004.
Scripps College’s Fine Arts Foundation, created in 1935, hosts this lecture and luncheon as part of its mission to stimulate public interest in art and to raise funds to foster art education and programming at Scripps College. The Hampton Room is housed in the Malott Commons.
