Scripps College Announces Appointment of Kimberley Valentine as Executive Director of Gift Planning and Principal Gifts

Scripps College President Lori Bettison-Varga today announces the appointment of Kimberley Valentine as executive director of gift planning and principal gifts, effective July 2, 2012. Valentine brings exceptional experience in leading successful planned giving programs.

“Kimberley’s proven experience at highly regarded institutions will benefit Scripps College as it advances its ambitious fundraising goals,” says Michael Archibald, vice president for institutional advancement. “We are delighted to have her on our team.”

Valentine brings more than 15 years of leadership and fundraising experience. Valentine has served as the director of planned giving at the Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens since 2002. The Huntington raised more than $80 million in planned gifts in 2011 under her leadership.

“Scripps College is a remarkable institution and I look forward to joining the Scripps College community,” Valentine says.

Valentine earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master’s degree in business administration from Pepperdine University.
