The Scripps College Fine Arts Foundation is pleased to present painter and art historian Janice Raithel, who will speak on "The Magic of Her Mirror" at Scripps College on Wednesday, December 12, at 1:30 p.m. Tea will follow this program, which takes place in the Hampton Room of the Malott Commons, on the corner of Columbia Avenue and Tenth Street. The program is free and open to the public.
Janice Raithel is a professor of design, art history, and color theory at Chaffey College. Her slide presentation and lecture will examine a variety of self-portraits by women and explore issues of identity through creative expression.
Scripps College’s Fine Arts Foundation, founded in 1935, is pleased to present this program as part of its mission to stimulate public interest in art and to raise funds to foster art education and programming at Scripps College.
