Jill D’Alessandro ’90 was featured in a PBS NewsHour special on the De Young Museum in San Francisco. D’Alessandro curated the exhibition “Contemporary Muslim Fashions,” which examines how Muslim women have become arbiters of style within and beyond their communities. “[One] of the things we wanted to celebrate was that [a woman] can still dress within [her] tradition—there’s tons of creativity and personal style,” she says. This past November, the College invited alumnae to a Behind the Scenes tour of the exhibition with D’Alessandro giving a private tour.
