Scripps’ own Career Planning & Resources was featured in an article by the Washington Post on its career advising sessions held over winter break. The week-long session focused on the basics of searching for and landing a job: “writing resumes, practicing interviews, networking, dressing professionally, business etiquette, finding internships, [and] personal branding,” according to the article. Students Nicole Greenberg ’19 and Emilie Hu ’21 weighed in on the benefits of using winter break for in-depth career advising; Margot Mafra Spencer ’21 notes that her fellow students often ask themselves, ‘What am I going to do with my life?'”—the sentiment that makes programs like these all the more urgent and appreciated.
