Dr. Stacey A. Hilton, Davis Doctor of Public Administration, will present “Women and Cardiovascular Disease: Your Mind, Body and Weight Management,” on February 4, as part of the “Go Red” lunch lecture presented by the Malott Commons. “Go Red” is a movement that brings women together for the common cause of fighting and eliminating heart disease and stroke. The lecture is free and open to the public.
According to the American Heart Association, cardiovascular disease is the leading killer of women over age 25. It kills nearly twice as many women in the United States than all types of cancer, including breast cancer. Yet, only 13 percent of women think heart disease is a threat to their health.
