Since 1931, Scripps’ graduating seniors have participated in what has become an essential rite of passage at the College: the signing of Graffiti Wall. Each year, seniors choose a mural design from student-submitted illustrations to paint on the wall, and then the entire graduating class adds its signatures. Graffiti Wall is a visual reminder of Scripps’ history and reflects the changing tastes and attitudes of students over the decades.

On April 20, 5C Earth Week events will culminate in the eighth annual Scripps Sustainability Fair. Newly expanded for this year, the event brings student clubs and programs across the 5Cs together with local organizations to celebrate our connection to Earth and one another. The fair will be presented in two parts—day and evening—and will take place on Bowling Green.

Through the Alternative Spring Break program, funded by Scripps’ own Laspa Center for Leadership, participants flew to Washington, D.C., to attend a Women and Congress seminar sponsored by the Public Leadership Education Network, a national organization focused on preparing college women for leadership roles in the public policy arena.
