The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that Scripps College was once again named a top producer of Fulbright students. Scripps had eight awardees during the 2018–2019 school year, representing a nearly 30 percent award rate. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for student-designed study or research projects, or for its English Teaching Assistant Programs, during which students live and work in the host country for up to one year. Established in 1946, the Fulbright Program is administered by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States Department of State.
