Biography
Ronnie Brosterman is Professor of Dance and Chair of the Dance Department at Scripps College in Claremont, California. She performed with the Boston Ballet prior to receiving her BS in Architecture from M.I.T. and her MA in Dance from the University of California, Los Angeles. From 1974-1984 she co-founded and was Artistic Director of Dance/LA, a modern repertory company, and Kinetikos Dance Foundation, a producing entity, both of which played pivotal roles in the development of Los Angeles concert dance. Ms. Brosterman has received numerous grants from the City of Los Angeles, the California Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts in support of her choreography and producing activities. She is a past board member of the Los Angeles Area Dance Alliance and the American College Dance Festival Association, and has served on selection panels for Kinetikos Choreographers' Showcase, Dance Kaleidoscope and the California Arts Council. Currently she serves on the Advisory Board for The California Arts Project.
