Pitzer and Scripps Colleges are embarking on a joint initiative to create a new, state-of-the-art, 70,000-square-foot building that will connect to the existing science structure. Dubbed The Nucleus, the $70 million expansion will help meet enrollment trends and strengthen the Colleges’ positions as leaders in education and advancement in STEM fields. The Nucleus is scheduled to open in fall 2024.
The biggest issues facing humanity aren’t in just one discipline; they are at the interface of biology, chemistry, and physics. We train students to be interdisciplinary problem-solvers and to do things that benefit humankind: science for the good of the world.
