There are many transportation options and car alternatives within Claremont and the greater LA area!
Foothill Transit: Scripps students, staff, and faculty can get a free class pass for Foothill Transit buses at the Connection in Honnold Library. This pass allows students, faculty, and staff to ride the bus for free all semester long.
Metrolink: The Claremont Metrolink stop is less than a mile south of campus and will take you to Los Angeles Union Station. This is a great, cheap option for getting into LA.
Dial-a-ride: For $2.50 anyone in Claremont can request a Dial-a-ride which will take you anywhere within Claremont or select further locations. You must request the ride more than 45 minutes in advance
Zipcar: There are many Zipcar locations on campus. You can rent these for a couple hours or for the whole day.
Biking on campus: biking is another great option for getting around the Claremont campuses and city. The Claremont Resident Guide has a map of bike lanes/routes.
- Don’t have a bike? Check out our Green Bike program that loans out 60-80 bikes to students for the semester. They also provide bikes for day rentals.
